Foraging

Foraging is a gathering skill for searching wild plants. Successful searches award one plant and Foraging XP. Flax supports Fletching, while the herbs unlocked from level 3 onward are the main ingredients for Brewing.

Getting Started

Stand beside a forageable plant and use the main action button. No tool is required: your character displays a scythe while searching even if another item is equipped. Keep at least one inventory slot free.

Start with Flax Plant at level 1. At level 3, gather Redleaf for the first Brewing recipe.

How Foraging Works

• Searches can succeed or miss. Only successful searches award a plant and Foraging XP.
• Your Foraging level affects your chance of finding a plant.
• Foraging plants are personal, recover over time, and cannot be depleted by other players.
• An active Gathering Beacon lets you search plants more times before they need to recover.

Plants

The newest plant you can gather is always the best available Foraging XP per search.

Plant recovery begins after a patch is depleted. Flax is used for Fletching; every later unlock is a Brewing herb.

Using Foraged Plants

• Flax Plant is turned into String at a Fletching Bench.
• Every other plant in the table is an herb used at a Brewing Vat.
• Some herbs support more than one potion when paired with different secondary ingredients.

Training Tips

1. Move to each new unlock: Every newly available plant improves the best Foraging XP rate.
2. Rotate between plants: Search another patch while depleted plants recover.
3. Keep inventory space open: Foraging stops when there is no room for another plant.
4. Use a Gathering Beacon: It lets you forage a patch longer before recovery.
5. Plan Brewing supplies: Check secondary ingredients before gathering a large herb batch.
